Most of the site owners and bloggers including me look at Google as the soul way of bringing organic traffic. In this process we forget that there are other search engines also which can bring us a lot of traffic.
So I thought to explore both Yahoo and the newly launched search engine Bing from Microsoft.
This post will give you the details on how to submit your site to Bing. My next post will cover the details on how to submit your site to Yahoo.
The first step is to go to Bing Webmasters page: http://www.bing.com/webmaster/
It will show the following image:

Once you are logged in it shows the following image:
So the next step is to add your site and site’s sitemap url to it and submit.
Apart from submitting sitemaps, Bing has a feature to check robots.txt file before uploading to the site. A sample validation of techlad’s robots.txt file shows
